Automatic Updates

Purfence checks for virus definition updates from our servers. This communication is encrypted and minimal:

  • We send: Latest virus signatures (anonymous data)
  • We receive: Nothing from your computer
  • No identifiable information is transmitted

Premium Subscriptions

If you purchase Purfence Premium, our payment processor (Stripe) collects payment information. We do not store or have access to your full credit card details. We only receive:

  • Email address (for receipts and support)
  • Subscription status (free or premium)
  • Payment timestamp (for license management)

This data is used solely for license management and support. We never sell or share this information.

Contact Forms

When you contact us via our website form, we collect only what you provide: name, email, subject, and message. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is stored securely. We do not use this data for marketing purposes.

Cookies

Our website does not use tracking cookies or any tracking technologies. We use essential cookies only for website functionality (like remembering your preference if you've interacted with cookie banners).

Third-Party Services

  • Stripe: Payment processing for Premium subscriptions

Contact form data is retained for 2 years for support purposes. Premium subscription data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 2 years for legal compliance. After these periods, data is securely deleted.
